The early morn presence was also important because they had to be briefed about the work before the US office closed down. James was not able t o see everyones problems therefore he was not able to provide them effective solutions. We against them attitude was generated among the team members as a result of their issues and resentment.Another mistake that was done by James in terms of discussing issues was that all the team members were not made a part of the discussion in the electronic mails. The US team would be a part of the email threads that would discuss important matters. The other teams complained that they were the last ones to be included in the emails to simply notify them of the solutions and decisions that had taken place. This way they did not get a chance to become a part of the discussions and just had to accept the solution that would be decided by James and US team. This kind of an approach is not suitable in the management of global teams since email correspondence is one the most common modes of communication.
